They mentioned this golf course in Bowling Green, KY, at least a certain hole, reminded them of Scotland. So it was perfect to see them in plaid for their winter portraits! Watching them walk, the outfits were so well coordinated, I felt like they should be in a catalog. And they had the smiles to match 🙂

And the best part was when the judge pronounced them officially family. There were kisses and hugs. There was clapping. And there were lots of smiles! The entire courtroom exploded in applause. It was a moment I will not soon forget. So happy for this amazing family on their adoption day!

Then it was time with the maternal grandparents. Sometimes, the cutest photos are ones we pose to look like they just happened. But in this case, no posing necessary. She is so loved by her grandparents that it just flows freely. The forehead kisses, the temple grazes, and the big hugs. They absolutely adore her.

Even when children are all grown up, even if they have children of their own, they are still our children. Ones we taught, loved, and watched grow into the people they are today. Our parents are always the ones we turn to for comfort and for knowledge. Being able to call them or visit them is such a blessing. And having our children get to know their grandparents makes it even better.

Then time for one last set of photos before the big moment. I was already getting super excited, trying not to give anything away. Careful of every word I said, making sure I didn’t let anything slip. It was so beautiful to watch them take a moment, knowing what was about to happen.

I just can’t say enough good things about this family! Attractive, hilarious, sweet….what’s not to love?! And tho they will try to convince you that they don’t take good pictures, the old adage applies…the camera doesn’t lie. A fun family always photographs well.

Now these three were officially a family! The little guy used to get all his momma’s kisses. But that’s ok. There was plenty of love to go around. After the first dance, he came out and said “my turn!” So he got to choose who to dance with first. Mommy or daddy? He chose daddy. Aaaaaaaand more tears!
