It was now time to scoop him back up in her arms. Like I said, they couldn’t stay apart for long. He was being such a good little boy. He just wanted the security that came with being right close to his mama’s heart.

Now it was time for Ruthie to get her mommy and me photos! So many sweet moments! She smiled up at her mommy and then fell asleep in her arms. It’s so important to remember these beautiful moments because they go so quickly. It seemed like just yesterday Anna Grace was this tiny. If I had one superpower, I would want to make time go a little more slowly in moments like this!

Here she is! Precious little Wrenlynn Iris. Typically on a newborn session, the baby just wants to sleep. Not Wren! She was wide awake. And she just laid there and let us take her photos. But she had a lot to live up to. Her brother had always been incredibly photogenic. She needed to carry on the tradition.

At this point, he can’t see very far, but he already knows the voices, the smells, and the touch of his parents. These are the ones who care for and nurture him. The ones he is fortunate enough to get to call mommy and daddy.

After just a few, she started looking at daddy, so we let Summer guide the session and did a few “daddy and me” portraits. He is so in love with his new little one. It was so sweet to watch how he couldn’t take his eyes off her and did everything he could do make her smile.

An ornate flower headband and layers of dusty rose tulle practically begged to be photographed. We used her great-grandmother’s chair. Her mother had a very special attachment to her own grandmother, so it was dreamy that it could all be tied in together. And it matched perfectly!

He’s growing up so fast! Able to balance himself in a little chair. Standing on his own. And do you see those four front teeth? How cute is he?! With his little head tilt like he was meant to take photos for a living.

He’s a country boy. He loves his tractors and all the other farm toys. And he has the sneakiest little grin. His baby portraits will capture your heart.
